Overview

Unfair is designed to keep your supplement workflow private and practical. The iOS app runs on your device, and we do not operate a centralized cloud backend that stores your stack history.

Information We Collect

We collect as little information as possible. App data such as stacks, dose logs, preferences, and journal entries stays on your device unless you export it or include it in your own Apple backup flows.

On-Device Processing

Unfair runs directly on your iPhone and stores your data in iOS on-device storage. If you choose to connect Apple Health, health-related data is managed through Apple Health permissions on your device.

Experiment Data Sharing

Experiment Data Sharing enables the Unfair Community to share their n-of-1 experiment outcomes to go beyond published research.

Experiment Data Sharing is optional and off by default. If you enable it in app preferences, Unfair sends anonymized experiment snapshots to our servers to support aggregate supplement research and quality-weighted analysis.

This sharing excludes all personal identifiers such as name, location, phone number, device type, email, profile photo, and birth date. You can turn sharing off at any time in Settings. Turning it off stops future uploads and resets your anonymous sharing identity for future participation.

Website Hosting and Analytics

This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process limited technical request metadata and aggregate analytics for security, uptime, and performance monitoring. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Purchases and Authentication

Authentication and subscription billing are handled by Apple. We do not receive your Apple ID credentials or full payment card details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information and do not share app health data for advertising purposes.

Data Processors

• Vercel for website hosting, logs, and performance operations
• Apple for App Store distribution, authentication, and payments

Data Retention

Data saved in the app remains on your device until you delete it. Removing the app or clearing app storage removes local data from the device.

For users who enable Experiment Data Sharing, shared payloads are retained for up to 24 months in raw ingest storage and up to 36 months in derived analysis storage.

Children's Privacy

Unfair is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change. The updated date will reflect the latest revision.
