Kava and valerian are not interchangeable "calm" products, and neither should be tested alongside alcohol, sedatives, sleep drugs, or anxiety medication without clinician review. Start with Common Supplement Stack Mistakes to Avoid so the trial does not become a sedative stack.

Methodology

This protocol prioritizes liver safety, sedation risk, medication review, outcome definition, and stop criteria. It does not claim that either herb treats anxiety, insomnia, withdrawal, panic disorder, or any psychiatric condition.
